it's official

with all the hype i made about her graduation, it's probably appropriate to overwhelm you with pictures from the trip. 

unfortunately, the rest of the trip was not documented quite as enthusiastically. my parents threw my sister an amazingly lovely graduation party at the commons that was kindly captured by a family friend into a  video here.  ryan, ben, and i got to play some background music together, as featured in the last 5 minutes of said video. i'm glad my mother forced us to play, because we had a lovely time doing so.

our little house is becoming a home



we are absolutely giddy about the two newest members of our household: our gorgeous succulents, my travel companions all the way back from az [thank you bobands!], and our super sexy industrial kitchen table [on sale! just for us today]. i must say, as sad as i was to be leaving my family and my zona, it feels pretty nice to be reunited with my huz.

it has been said...

...that any picture i take will be lost forever. that was true until i started this blog. & then i got delayed 20 hours on my lone trip home. & now you will be overloaded with updates.

this time last year, we were celebrating birthdays and graduations galore with some pit stops in between. as soon as i get to az (or should i say IF i ever get to az), i can't wait to celebrate more belated birthdays and graduations galore.

my baby seester is graduating from high school next week. if you know me at all, then you have probably heard a thousand times that she is my best friend. but you may not know that she is also my fashion role model, my cuddle-buddy and then some, and just all around someone i deeply admire and look up to. although we are alike in many ways, some of the ways she inspires me is her meekness in spirit, her courage for standing firm in her beliefs, and her love for the lord and our family. while i was home in march, ryan and i had the privilege of snapping some senior pictures for her. she is seriously the most stunning girl i've ever known and she's got a rockin heart to boot.

 on a side note, this was my first chance to shoot alongside of my hubby, who can now add another thing to his neverending list of talents: photography. check him out.

one week later... the vanilla & chocolate // his & hers set of 7D townies. we couldn't be more thrilled. neutral colors were probably a good choice afterall since apparently we dress in rainbows. please note: while snapping these photos on our front porch, the cicadas were humming so loud it literally hurt our ears and we each got about 15 mosquito bites. but at least the sun was out! oh tennessee.





year 23

ryan and i have been saving up for bikes since, well, it seems like forever. we thought my birthday would be a good occasion to finally make that happen. but who were we kidding? we're the most indecisive people ever. so instead we decided to think about it another week. we ate the most delicious local/organic dinner at flyte and then ryan let me snap a bazillion photos of us with the tripod. we have to take more pictures than the usual couple because i always find a way to unfold my hands at the last minute and leave one crippled-looking hand awkwardly ruining a good picture.
